A live internet show about Ada Lovelace and our first computer language by Rebecca Örtman.
ADA FTW is about Ada Lovelace, born in 1815, daughter of the famous poet Lord Byron. Ada was a mathematician and visionary who foresaw that Charles Babbage’s analytical machine, the first computer, would have a revolutionary impact in the future. The ADA FTW, you follow her intense life story from childhood to her death at the age of 36. Written and directed by Rebecca Örtman, actress Linda Lönnerfeldt.
The drama ADA FTW live broadcast and the audience can participate via SMS, Twitter and the web. The audience can see the drama in different ways: on a PC or mobile phone and on the big screen in various places, such as schools, libraries and museums.
ADA FTW is part 2 in Kista Theatre’s trilogy Women In Science that highlights women scientists, scientific discoveries and highlights the research of today. The ADA FTW continues the exploration of performing arts opportunities to meet the audience in new ways. The play was inspired by Stockholm “The stories of home” which the Stockholm Public Library, and Stockholm City Museum has collected since autumn 2011.
