Trilogy: Women In Science
Women In Science is a modern trilogy about female researchers who have made historical scientific discoveries, which are still significant for today's research.
Trilogy challenges traditional theater and uses innovative technologies in the scene. All three plays; Lise & Otto, ADA FTW and Maryam explore how the performing arts can meet their audience in new ways.
Lise & Otto
Lise & Otto is a split drama that plays on two scenes simultaneously. Drama is about Lise Meitner and Otto Hahn, two researchers who managed to interpret the nuclear cleavage process in 1938. A discovery that changed the world in which we live. One other audience meets Lise and the other Otto – while they meet each other virtually. See the show here.
ADA FTW
A live drama about the world’s first programmer, Ada Lovelace. Here the audience can participate and influence the scenography via text, twitter and web. ADA FTW is about Ada Lovelace, born 1815. A mathematician and visionary who predicted the revolutionary importance of the computer.
Maryam
A GPS-triggered mobile audio drama that takes place on the streets of the city and is about Maryam, a young science woman in the 900’s Aleppo, Syria. Maryam further developed the advanced astrological instrument Astrolabe, the predecessor of today’s GPS. She is struggling to take place in Bayt al-Hikma, the house of wisdom, where men dominate.
